A new drama serial Sinf-e-Ahan has been the talk of the town since the day, the cast pictures revealed on social media. Since then we’ve seen teasers of 5 different female characters being introduced, who all belong to different backgrounds but will lead towards the same journey. The journey of becoming an army officer. How they reached there? What was their goal and what were their hurdles faced by family and society? These are all the questions that have made us curious.
Not only the storyline is powerful but also the cast playing different characters have a separate fan base on each of their own. The first episode beautifully covers the story of all 5 leading ladies. All the characters have been given equal screen time in the episode and their stories belonging to different backgrounds could be resonated by many girls in our society.
Syra Yousuf as Arzoo Daniel, a girl belonging to Christian faith is innocent, mature and have a supporting family but his boyfriend Noraiz doesn’t believes in her and not even consider her seriously for marriage.
Sajal Aly as Rabia Safeer, a NUST graduate and class topper belonging to Karachi. She is a bright girl but not working anywhere despite being a topper and passionate. Instead, she is waiting for a good proposal to get married because her parents ask her to . But due to facing rejections and seeing many of her class fellows on their different paths of career, she is upset and wants to lead life on her own instead of waiting for a perfect rishta. She has an army background. Her brother is an army officer, played by Usman Mukhtar.
Ramsha Khan as Pariwesh Jamal is a Balochi girl who is an only child and has her father’s support to have education. But belonging to lower class village background, he has his land captured by the Sardar of the village in place of the money he borrowed from Sardar. Pariwesh wants to help get the land back. Meanwhile, Sardar asks for Pariwesh’s proposal for his servant and in exchange he would leave the land and give it back to Pariwesh’s father.
Kubra Khan as Mahjabeen Mastaan is a corporate lawyer by education. She is very privileged belonging to a very well off family in Islamabad. Her life seems perfect from afar but in real she has a dysfunctional family where no one believes in her. Not her boyfriend and not her mother. She is inspired from Gen. Nigar and has made up her mind to prove everyone of what she is capable of.
Yumna Zaidi as Shaista Khanzada, a fierce and strong Pashtoon girl who is intelligent and a quick witted girl. She knows her strength as what she is capable of but is restricted by her family. She is helping her brother to study for the test but has faith that she could do better and determine to apply in army.
The starting of drama is quite convincing and kept the audience hooked. We’ve high hopes and it can be predicted that it will be the next most loved project after Parizaad. This year has been going great with the release of some really good drama serials and plotlines.
