Hum Kahan Ke Sachay Thay is an ongoing Pakistani Drama, that gets on-air from HUM TV starring superstar Mahira Khan.
Drama was running on a slow pace for last few episodes, but in this episode we’ve witnessed some movement and scenario change. But again, the murder mystery of Mashal is not solved completely yet, which is somewhat getting frustrating but again the unsolved mystery is actually the main cause of Aswad’s negative behavior.
Aswad has become that negative protagonist which doesn’t actually have hatred towards Mehreen. He has guilt, love and sorrow for Mashal , all these feelings have mixed up inside him. And turned him into a sadist, where not only he’s torturing Mehreen but also himself in the process.
In last few episodes, he seems to be a whiner, but his emotions has surfaced more in this episode. Though we’re Mehreen’s supporter but in this episode, Aswad has really gained some sympathy, though he’s on the wrong track of judging Mehreen. What he’s doing is basically to take revenge for Mashal.
What is more surprising is the behavior and sudden shift of perspective of Saffan. How he suddenly jumped to the conclusion and believed that Mehreen’s backgorund is complicated? Though when he left Mehreen’s place, his mother didn’t say anything, only just to end the chapter of him and Mehreen. Also when Aswad called Saffan, he didn’t mention anything about Mehreen’s father’s drug addiction. But then why he suddenly started ignoring Mehreen’s calls and out of nowhere believed everything that was in Mashal’s emails? It seemed that there was a scene missing that should have been shown to link the scenes.
And man! Mehreen was as stunned on his behavior as we were. She went into complete shock and remember the time when Saffan visited her in jail and didn’t ask anything but only how she was feeling. From that Saffan to this! She was right in agreeing to marry Aswad then.
What was annoying was how both mothers; Saleha and Rabia were so naïve that they couldn’t see how angry Aswad was and certainly was not happy. I mean a blind would have known from Aswad’s expressions!
Also there was a little flaw in the episode, when Aswad was remembering Mashal’s last call, there was a scene in the flashback where Mashal was wearing Mehreen’s red dupatta. Why did they show that moment in Aswad’s flashback? He didn’t know about this.
Overall, Mahira Khan and Usman Mukhtar were great in this episode and we hope that Mashal’s murder mystery would get solve in the next episode.
