A girl who had gone to Minar e Pakistan on 14th August to celebrate Azaadi was severely assaulted there. Dozens of men leapt on to her, groped her, ripped off her clothes and tossed her body around between themselves.
The incident involving 400 men sexually harassing a woman at Lahore’s Minar-e-Pakistan on Independence Day unfolded when a video on social media got viral. Police have registered a case against 400 people allegedly involved in the incident.
Who is the Girl?
The victim in this case is Ayesha Akram. She is a famous TikToker who hails from Lahore. Ayesha makes videos on TikTok and that’s how she got famous. Ayesha went to Minar E Pakistan on Independence Day along with her six friends and was filming and taking selfies with her companions when the horrific incident happened.
Many celebrities took to Twitter to demand the higher authorities to serve justice to the victim with some left completely speechless over the audacity of the perpetrators. Here’s how our Pakistani celebrities reacted to the incident:
